Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting locum Consultant Psychiatrists in Adult Mental Health for UK-wide opportunities, with short-term and longer-term placements across regions. You'll work within multidisciplinary teams providing high-quality care to adults with complex needs.

Ideal candidates hold MBBS, GMC registration, Section 12/22, DBS, and are eligible for CCT in General Adult Psychiatry; UK right to work. We offer flexible schedules and dedicated recruitment support.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility).
• A current DBS check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process.
• Experience in adult mental health settings.
• UK Right to Work.
• CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it).

Responsibilities

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews.
• Leading treatment planning and clinical decision-making.
• Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs.
• Liaising with community services and external partners.

Start Date: 7th September

Inpatient General Adult Consultant required for Worden Ward in Chorley Hospital. Ward in male inpatient, covering 15 beds.

Role includes cover of 136 suite, cross cover of two other wards for annual leave.

Ideally accredited trainer on the GMC register. Specialist Registration and AC approval is required.
