Job summary

Floryn House Care Home in Yarnton, Oxfordshire, part of Care Concern Group, is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support meal delivery in a clean, well-organised kitchen. You will help with preparation, storage and deliveries while maintaining high hygiene standards.

The role includes working with the Chef and team, ensuring a smooth, safe kitchen operation and a consistent weekend shift pattern. DBS, pension, and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Positive, reliable and well organised worker.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation, storage and deliveries as needed.
• Work closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across the kitchen area.
• Be flexible to work alternate weekends as required.

Our brand new, purpose-built facility situated in the beautiful village of Yarnton, Oxfordshire, provides exemplary Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 73-residents.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
