Job summary

Heart of England Co-operative Society is seeking a Team Leader for our Market Bosworth Food Convenience Store (16 hours per week). You’ll lead a small team, own shifts, and step in for the Store Manager to keep the store running smoothly.

You’ll develop colleagues, drive service, and build a path to Store Management. The role combines hands-on leadership with community focus and a clear progression plan, supported by our structured training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail environment is desirable.
• Ability to coach and develop colleagues to improve performance.
• Strong focus on customer service and store standards.

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our Market Bosworth Food Convenience Store (16 hours per week).

This is your opportunity to move beyond a standard retail role and take real ownership—leading a team, driving performance, and building the skills to progress into Store Management.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Team Leader, you’ll take responsibility for key areas of the store and step up to run the operation in the absence of the Store Manager.

• Support recruitment, training and onboarding of new colleagues

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll be expected to lead from the front and make decisions that impact the store’s success.

• £13.35 per hour, rising to £13.59 from October
