Job summary

Heart of England Co-operative Society is looking for an experienced retail leader to take the helm as Store Manager. You’ll lead your own store, develop a capable team and make a real difference in the local community.

As a Store Manager, you’ll drive sales and profitability, recruit and nurture colleagues, manage stock and costs, and ensure top standards in merchandising, food safety and customer service. We offer a competitive starting salary from £33,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising within a retail environment, ideally food retail.
• Proven ability to motivate and develop colleagues.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs and performance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on approach with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.

This is a varied, hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact every day.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems and delivering results. You'll ideally have:

• Experience managing or supervising within a retail environment, ideally food retail.
• A proven ability to motivate and develop colleagues.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs and performance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A hands-on approach with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Teams.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable.
