Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment are working with a highly regarded secondary school in LU3, Luton, to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant / Pastoral Support Assistant.

Luma Education Recruitment are working with an excellent and highly regarded secondary school in LU3, Luton, to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant / Pastoral Support Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a positive, supportive working environment and help young people overcome barriers to learning, manage their behaviour and build confidence in education.

The role would suit candidates with experience in Teaching Assistant, pastoral, SEMH, behaviour support, youth work or alternative provision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
• Support students with SEMH, emotional and behavioural needs
• Build positive relationships based on trust, consistency and clear boundaries
• Encourage engagement with learning and support pupils to access lessons
• Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams to provide targeted support

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people in an education, pastoral or support setting

• £100–£140 per day DOE with weekly pay
