You'll be working with an easy-going 61-year-old BSL user who is Deaf. He loves football, spending time with dogs, and keeping active and busy. He thrives on routine, likes to plan his own week, and enjoys a wide range of activities — so you'll need to be someone who can keep things structured and consistent.

He has mental health support needs and communicates primarily through BSL and body language. Poor communication can be unsettling for him, so a clear, calm, and patient approach is essential. When he needs space, time to process and a calm environment help him most.

Your Role Will Include

Medication prompting and administration

Meal preparation and nutrition support

Community access and social support

Travel support and household tasks

Sensory and learning/routine support

Implementing and working within a PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) plan

Building a warm, consistent, and trusted relationship
