Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is assisting a well-established family-owned service centre in Liphook, Hampshire, to recruit a Vehicle Technician. The role offers a salary up to £50,000 per annum based on a 42.5-hour week, with Mon-Fri 8:00AM-5:30PM and Saturday mornings 8:00AM-12:30PM, 1 in 4 weekends, plus overtime.

You will conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to high standards, using the latest diagnostic and repair equipment, while providing excellent customer service and contributing to

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Skilled in diagnostic work and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately to a high standard.
• Strong pride in personal and workshop presentation.
• Reliable with a professional attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT testing qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and mechanical repairs including oil changes, tyre fitting, suspension, brakes, and regular servicing per manufacturer standards.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics to identify faults and troubleshoot issues.
• Repair or replace faulty parts.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and operate smoothly.
• Assist with MOT testing (desirable).
• Keep detailed records of work performed and communicate costs/progress to service reception.
• Provide excellent customer service and work effectively within a team.
