Job summary

We are representing a reputable automotive workshop in Lymington, Hampshire, recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician. The role offers a competitive salary, benefits, and an opportunity to work in a well-resourced environment with nearly 100 years of combined experience.

The position involves servicing a wide range of vehicles, performing Vehicle Health Checks, diagnosing faults, and carrying out brake and suspension work, with Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 and flexible coverage where needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a professional workshop.
• Confidence in servicing, diagnostics, and fault repair.
• Ability to complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs) and carry out brake and suspension work.
• Competence on mainstream vehicles; vans experience advantageous.
• MOT testing experience desirable; MOT-qualified technicians may be considered for upper salary range.
• Reliable, practical approach with excellent communication to explain work.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle servicing across a variety of makes and models, maintaining high standards of quality.
• Complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHC) and ensure accurate recording and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and repair faults with precision and attention to detail.
• Conduct brake and suspension repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
• Support workshop efficiency by handling repairs on both cars and vans.
• Maintain professionalism and uphold safety standards at all times.
• Assist in ensuring smooth workshop operations in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a professional workshop setting
• Confidence in servicing, diagnostics, and fault repair
• Ability to complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs), and carry out brake and suspension work
• Competence working on mainstream vehicles; experience working on vans is advantageous
• MOT testing experience is desirable; MOT-qualified Technicians will be considered for the upper salary range
• Reliable, practical approach with excellent communication skills to explain work carried out
• Willingness to work Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with flexibility when required
