Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Petersfield is seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician to join a family-owned business. The role focuses on independent workshop maintenance and repairs with a strong emphasis on safety and quality, offering development opportunities and long-term stability.

The position is a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a competitive salary and a company pool vehicle for work-related tasks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 diploma in light vehicle repair or equivalent qualification.
• Proven recent experience as a vehicle mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe and efficient operation of workshop and yard activities.
• Conduct annual vehicle services and routine inspections.
• Attend and diagnose breakdowns, performing necessary repairs.
• Replace and repair vehicle components to maintain optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records.
• Order parts and liaise with suppliers to ensure smooth repair workflows.
• Assist with servicing and repairing plant equipment and attachments.
• Support health and safety procedures, promoting safety awareness.
• Work independently as the sole Vehicle Mechanic, managing workload efficiently.
• Provide technical support and advice to colleagues and clients as required.
