Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is seeking a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer for a hospital site in Lewisham. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance and building services within a healthcare environment, with day shifts and no night work.

A strong mechanical background and relevant NVQ/C&G qualifications are expected. The successful candidate will monitor plant, support HVAC and electrical systems, and contribute to preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• NVQ/C&G level mechanical qualifications
• Proven track record in building maintenance
• Multiskilled - mechanical/electrical preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor the mechanical plant and systems on-site.
• Inspect pumps, motors, seals and bearings.
• Maintain air conditioning systems – AHU/FCU, filter changes, cleaning.
• Carry out plumbing tasks: unblock toilets, replace taps, washers.
• Monitor and respond to BMS system alarms and trends.
• Maintain general building fabric and surrounding facilities.

A Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in Lewisham. CBW is currently looking for a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to be based in a Healthcare environment in Lewisham. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased (NVQ, C&G, etc) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Working with the maintenance team on-site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance to the following. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £48,900 for further training and career progression.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor the mechanical plant


• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings


• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)


• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc


• Monitor the BMS systems.


• General building fabric

Hours of work

• 4 on 4 off - Days Only

Requirements

• Level 2 &3 in Mechanical Engineering (C&G, NVQ etc)


• A proven track record in Building Maintenance


• Good Communication Skills.


• Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.


• Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV (Desirable)


• Good Leadership & Management skills
