Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited in North West London is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to join a prestigious multi-tenant commercial campus. You will manage a on-site engineering team and deliver first-class building maintenance across a vibrant estate occupied by diverse commercial tenants.

The role involves hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis and using the CAFM system to plan tasks, maintain records and RAMS for safe operations.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in critical environments such as commercial offices, data centres, or healthcare.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
• Experience leading an engineering shift team in a large or critical facility.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the on-site shift engineering team.
• Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks are completed using the CAFM system.
• Carry out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance when required.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on plant and equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring business continuity.
• Monitor the quality of maintenance activities, documentation and housekeeping standards across the site.
• Manage spare parts and ensure critical stock levels are maintained.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and RAMS.
• Prepare, review and implement RAMS to ensure safe systems of work and compliant operations.

Shift Leader - FM Service Provider - North West London - Up to £58,000 per annum

CBW is recruiting an experienced Shift Leader to join a prestigious multi-tenant commercial campus in North West London. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to work within a modern and technically challenging environment, delivering first-class building maintenance across a vibrant mixed-use estate occupied by a diverse range of commercial tenants.

Hours of Work

• Continental Shift Pattern - Days & Nights (7 on, 7 off rotation)

Key Duties

• - Lead, motivate and support the on-site shift engineering team.
• - Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently using the site's CAFM system.
• - Carry out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance when required.
• - Diagnose and rectify faults on plant and equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring business continuity.
• - Monitor the quality of maintenance activities, documentation and housekeeping standards across the site.
• - Manage spare parts and ensure critical stock levels are maintained.
• - Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and job documentation.
• - Prepare, review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe systems of work.
• - Support the delivery of a safe, compliant and high-performing building environment.

Requirements

• - Fully qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• - Previous experience working in a critical environment such as commercial offices, banking, data centres, healthcare or other high-profile facilities.
• - Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
• - Experience with critical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers and power distribution.
• - Previous experience leading an engineering shift team within a critical or large commercial environment.
• - Excellent fault-finding, communication and problem-solving skills.
• - A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional engineering standards.
