Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our team at Stoneygate, LE2 3HP. You’ll be working 40 hours a week, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet.

Stoneygate is a specialist residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. DBS checks are enhanced; a supportive, active environment and ongoing training are provided to help you grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives.
• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting with learning disabilities and mental health.
• Excellent communicator and a good team player.
• Caring and understanding with the energy to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment.
• Empowering and supporting service user independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
