The role offers a competitive salary £37,285 to £45,662 with OTE up to £49,862, 25 days leave plus bank holidays, a pension, life assurance, and extensive training including hybrid/electric vehicle servicing.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Proven experience in main dealer or similar workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills with electrical knowledge.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent teamwork and communication; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, warranty work and repairs.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs accurately.
• Diagnose vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Work to manufacturer standards and dealership processes.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to high quality standards.
• Support less experienced technicians and keep the workshop organized.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, warranty work, and repairs to vehicles
• Complete mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs accurately and efficiently
• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults utilising advanced diagnostic equipment
• Work according to manufacturer standards and dealership processes
• Ensure all work is completed safely, to a high standard of quality and safety
• Support less experienced technicians when required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised workshop environment

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Proven experience as a vehicle technician within a main dealer or comparable workshop
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, with knowledge of electrical systems
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning and skills development
