Teaching Vacancies is seeking a reliable premises caretaker for Leek High School. You will perform general maintenance to support daily operations, secure the premises at agreed times, and uphold health and safety standards.
You will liaise with contractors, maintain records, and work with site staff and cleaning teams to keep the premises tidy, safe and ready for pupils, parents and staff. The role emphasises a can-do attitude and teamwork.
You will be expected to provide general maintenance to support the effective operation of the School, in line with the job description.
This role will involve securing the premises at agreed times.
You will be expected to maintain health and safety standards.
Liaising with contractors & maintaining effective records, you will need a knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook.
Working closely with the site staff and supporting the cleaning team & restocking consumables, to ensure premises are safe, tidy and in a satisfactory condition to allow daily operations.
The role will involve clearing spillages, blockages and general waste from in and around the site.
Experience of working in a related field is preferred, you should possess a "can do" attitude and should be approachable.
Ability to work constructively as part of a team, you should be friendly but respectful. You must be committed to the needs of pupils, parents and all stakeholders.
