Job summary

Smart Solutions (Recruitment) Limited is recruiting an experienced Mobile Plant Operator for a busy recycling facility in Leatherhead (KT22). The role involves safely operating mobile plant machinery, including a 360 Grab and Loading Shovel, to move and process recyclables on site.

You will perform daily checks, follow site procedures, and contribute to a clean, safe working environment. This is a full-time position with a £500 signing bonus after 200 hours and overtime available.

Job description

We're offering a £500 signing-on bonus to all successful candidates who complete 200 hours in the role.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join a busy recycling facility based in Leatherhead (KT22).

This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role involving the safe operation of mobile plant machinery, including 360 Grab and Loading Shovel equipment, to support the processing and movement of recyclable materials on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery safely, efficiently and in line with site procedures, while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a 360 Grab and Loading Shovel to process, move and load recyclable materials.
• Safely operate site vehicles and mobile plant equipment.
• Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure all machinery is operated in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
• Support the day-to-day running of the recycling facility.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist with general site duties when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

Pay and hours:

• £14.78 per hour basic rate.
• Overtime available paid at £22.17 per hour.
• Monday to Friday working hours, 7:00am – 5:00pm.
• Full-time, ongoing opportunity.
