Job summary

Smart Solutions, near Grantham, is recruiting experienced Loading Shovel and 360 Grab Drivers to join a busy waste recycling facility. Location: Barkston Heath, Ancaster.

Night shifts Mon-Thu 5:30pm-5:30am at £16.50 per hour with Friday overtime available. This is full-time, ongoing work with weekly pay and immediate start.

Qualifications

• Valid and relevant plant operator licence or certification.
• Experience operating a Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab.
• Experience in waste, recycling, aggregates, quarrying or a similar environment is preferred.
• Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operating a Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab.
• Moving, loading and stockpiling materials around the site.
• Supporting waste recycling, shredding and screening operations.
• Maintaining a safe and efficient flow of materials.
• Carrying out daily pre-start checks and basic machine inspections.
• Reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Assisting with general site duties where required.

Pay: £16.50 per hour
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 5:30pm-5:30am
Overtime: Friday overtime available

About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Loading Shovel and 360 Grab Drivers to join a busy waste recycling facility near Grantham.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who can operate both a Loading Shovel and 360 Grab. However, we are also happy to consider candidates with proven experience operating either machine.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time night work with an established recycling operation. The successful candidates will play an important role in ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently around the site.
