Job summary

Eko Talent is seeking a Lead Plant Operator for a leading recycling company in the United Kingdom. You will lead a small team and take ownership of day-to-day site activities on a Monday to Friday day shift.

The role involves operating plant machinery and crane systems, training junior staff, loading and unloading vehicles, and ensuring a clean, safe working environment with full adherence to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of recycling operatives.
• Own day-to-day site activities and priorities.
• Operate plant machinery across the recycling facility.
• Operate large crane systems safely and efficiently.
• Operate a range of heavy plant and machinery.
• Assist with training and development of junior team members.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Operate and assist with site balers.
• Carry out machinery inspections and report faults.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times.
