Avery Healthcare in Knowle Gate Care Home is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to join our award-winning team. You will work with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, support residents, and maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

The ideal candidate holds an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, has around 2 years’ experience, and can communicate effectively.

  • Positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

  • Monitor wellbeing of residents and adapt care plans as needed.
  • Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
  • Assist residents with medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
  • Serve as a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

support

and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,

supportive

environment for residents, visitors and staff

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
