Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm and dedicated Senior Care Assistant for Grove Park Care Home in Leeds. You will deliver compassionate personal care, support the care team, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Candidates should hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes and have at least two years of relevant experience. You will communicate effectively, be flexible, and committed to nurturing residents and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support the Care team to create a safe, caring, open and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and update care plans and records as needs change.
• Support residents with their medication requirements as needed.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
• Act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives and health and social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
