Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our caring team. You will work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, supportive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities include monitoring wellbeing, participating in monthly care plan evaluations, assisting with medications, supervising staff, and acting as a main contact for residents and families while escalating concerns as needed.

Qualifications

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Positive attitude toward residents and staff.
  • Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
  • Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with medication requirements.
  • Conduct staff supervision and support staff development.
  • Act as key contact for residents, relatives and professionals, and escalate concerns.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

  • Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
