Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Acer House Care Home in Weston Super Mare, Somerset. You’ll deliver high standards of personal care and support for residents, working alongside the care team to create a safe, respectful environment.

We value compassion and dedication, offer opportunities to grow, and require NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent with about 2 years’ experience in a similar setting.

Qualifications

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of personal care to residents.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans accordingly.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and send monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives and health/social care professionals.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant at Acer House Care Home in Weston Super Mare, Somerset.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
