Job summary

Triumph Consultants Ltd is recruiting an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer for a three‑month contract in Kettering, NN15 7QX. You will deliver a high‑quality housing management service to tenants and leaseholders, managing tenancies, arrears, ASB, and estate issues to maintain safe, well‑managed neighbourhoods.

The role requires at least 3 years in a similar housing role, CIH Level 3 or equivalent, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a similar housing role within a local authority or registered provider
• CIH Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, regulation and possession procedures
• Excellent communication, interviewing and negotiation skills
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Manage tenancies and leaseholds, including tenancy changes, inspections, tenancy conditions and customer enquiries
• Manage rent arrears and income recovery, including repayment plans, court action and supporting customers with benefits
• Deal with ASB and unacceptable behaviour, taking appropriate action and referrals for additional support
• Manage estates and empty properties, including estate inspections, property viewings, sign-ups and reletting
• Work with tenants, leaseholders and partner services to resolve issues, improve customer satisfaction and support safe, successful communities

Pay Rate: £17.55 per hour PAYE

Location: Kettering NN15 7QX

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar housing role within a local authority or registered provider.
• CIH Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, regulation and possession procedures.
• Excellent communication, interviewing and negotiation skills, including working with customers with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
