Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to deliver specialist assessment and treatment for clients with complex neurological needs. You will lead evidence-based therapy programmes and coordinate multidisciplinary care within a supportive team.

The role involves supervising junior staff, contributing to policy development, and ensuring HCPC standards are upheld. A collaborative, patient-centred approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as SLT and current practice.
• Experience in neuro-rehabilitation settings and multidisciplinary work.
• Ability to plan and lead communication therapy groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT assessment and treatment for clients with complex neurological needs.
• Devise and implement evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level.
• Independently plan and lead communication therapy groups.
• Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance.
• Undertake key worker duties, ensuring cohesive goal-setting and discharge planning.
• Formally supervise less experienced SLTs and assistants per policy.
• Contribute to induction and training of IDT members.
• Ensure compliance with HCPC and relevant codes of practice.
• Support SLT policy implementation and service development initiatives.

Job description

Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist SLT assessment and treatment for clients with complex neurological needs. Devise and implement evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level, emphasising multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes. Independently plan and lead communication therapy groups. Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance. Undertake key worker duties, ensuring cohesive goal-setting, therapy coordination, and discharge planning. Formally supervise less experienced SLTs and assistants in line with ACG policy. Take an active role in the induction and training of other members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT). Ensure all relevant codes of practice, regulations, and HCPC registration requirements are upheld. Contribute to the implementation and review of SLT policy and service development initiatives.
