Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Driver for loads strapping and deliveries in and around London, based in Barrow-upon-Humber. You should be available for nights out occasionally and a 06:00 start from Monday to Friday.

Offers include overtime after 51.75 hours at £20.96 per hour, with a £24 night-out allowance. Immediate starts and weekly pay are provided by the agency.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence held with at least 12 months of commercial experience.
• DCPC card and Digi-tacho card required.
• UK resident; visa relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle (Curtain Sider/Flat Bed) and complete deliveries around London.
• Carry out load strapping as required and secure loads.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and complete transport paperwork.

Job description

Job Title: Class 1 Driver - Load strapping, deliveries in and around London - occassional tramping

Location: Barrow-upon-Humber

Overtime: £18.70 + £2.26 holiday pay = £20.96 per hour for hours worked over 51.75 hours per week

Night-out allowance: £24 per night out

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 06:00 starts - Nights Out required from time to time

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Barrow-upon-Humber to work with our client, who are a well established timber merchant.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
