Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are recruiting professional Class 1 Drivers to join our client in Barnsley for trunking work. Pay ranges from £17.25 to £23.25 per hour with start times 03:00 to 22:30, Monday to Sunday.

This role offers on-going work, weekly pay (Friday), on-the-job training, free secure parking, and a modern fleet. You must hold a Class 1 licence, UK DCPC card, and a Digi-tacho card; up to six points may be considered but certain endorsements are not accepted.

Qualifications

• Must have Class 1 driving licence and UK DCPC card.
• Digi-tacho card required.
• Strong knowledge of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and load vehicle.
• Complete scheduled deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Complete required paperwork and tachograph records.
• Perform vehicle and safety checks.
• Report to Barnsley depot at start and end of shift.
• No tramping or nights out required.

About you:

You will need a professional attitude and good knowledge of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations, good timekeeping skills and be safety conscious.

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence, and you must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
