Job summary

CareTech is recruiting Support Workers for Ullswater Court in Golborne to provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. You will work a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, helping with daily living, promoting independence and wellbeing, and maintaining accurate records.

The service emphasises dignity, respect and a structured, supportive environment, with extensive training and clear progression opportunities within the CareTech

Qualifications

• Care sector experience is essential.
• Willingness to work towards Level 2 QCF (Social Care Wales registration).
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

• Support activities, appointments, and community access.

About the Service – Ullswater Court

Ullswater Court is a registered Supported Living Service made up of self-contained flats, supporting adults aged 18+ in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The service promotes independence, choice, and wellbeing through tailored, person-centred support.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing

• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
