Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Van Technician for a reputable service centre in Gillingham, Kent. The role offers stability, career development, and a competitive remuneration package.

The position is Monday to Friday (45 hours) with 1 in 4 Saturdays paid at time and a half, plus a guaranteed bonus during the first four months and 30 days holiday including bank holidays. Ongoing training and life assurance benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, preferably with light commercial vehicles (LCV).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical diagnostics and repairs on light commercial vehicles.
• Complete vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain high levels of technical expertise through manufacturer training programmes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Assist in achieving customer satisfaction and dealership productivity targets.

Duties of a Van Technician

• Provide technical diagnostics and repairs on light commercial vehicles
• Complete vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Maintain high levels of technical expertise through manufacturer training programmes
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
• Assist in achieving customer satisfaction and dealership productivity targets as a Van Technician
• Uphold manufacturer and company quality procedures at all times

Requirements of a Van Technician

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair
• Full UK driving licence
• Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician, preferably with light commercial vehicles (LCV)
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude
• Prior experience within a franchised dealership environment is advantageous
