The duties of the Vehicle Technician will encompass:
- Performing complex diagnostic repairs and fault finding on a range of passenger and commercial vehicles
- Identifying electrical and electronic faults efficiently using OEM and multi-brand diagnostic tools
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer specifications
- Documenting diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and work completed accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe workspace in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicating technical issues clearly to customers, ensuring high levels of customer service
Required qualifications and experience for the Vehicle Technician include:
- Proven experience in a diagnostic role within the motor trade
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical/electronic systems, and ABS/airbag systems
- Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software and multi-brand diagnostic tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Repair, or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
