Job summary

Casual Independent Living Assistant at Bield Housing and Care in Cumnock. You will help keep communal areas clean and assist tenants, with duties that include cleaning vacant flats and responding to property emergencies, while providing cover as needed across the Cumnock hub.

Basic duties will require flexible working across developments in the local hub, with support and training provided as part of our Independent Living opportunities.

• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential.

Summary

Casual Assistant - Independent Living Opportunities at our Cumnock Hub.

As an Assistant - Independent Living

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. On occasion, the Assistant will be expected to clean vacant flats and/or external pathways of the development and provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. In addition you will respond to property emergencies, taking appropriate action when the Manager is off duty and providing cover for the development office as required.

This role requires working flexibly across all developments within the local hub in line with service needs, ensuring continuity and consistency for our tenants.

About You

Experience of a similar type of role would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement as training will be provided.

You should bring to the role a genuine interest in working with older people and an ability to respond calmly to requests for assistance.
