Job summary

Clevedon School is seeking a compassionate Literacy and Behaviour Support Worker to join the Student Support Department (Horizons), supporting students with SEND to access, achieve and enjoy education.

The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 inset days, with a start date 01/10/2026. The school is part of Futura Learning Partnership, offering a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Has experience of supporting children/young people in a work place or voluntary capacity.
• Can motivate and build rapport with learners whilst encouraging independence.
• Has a sound level of Secondary Education and evidence of relevant professional development and qualifications e.g. Teaching Qualification.
• Has recent experience of working in a school as a Learning Support Assistant or similar relevant child-focused role.
• Shares our belief that every child deserves the very best opportunities.
