Job summary

Kenect Recruitment Ltd is seeking site operatives to cover sites in Chigwell, Brentwood, Waltham Abbey, Chelmsford and surrounding areas. Flexible hours 32–48 per week to cover holidays and sickness, with weekend work and enhanced bank holiday rates.

Must be able to drive with own transport to work on various sites. Basic English/Maths GCSE required. Steel toe boots and good health are essential for on-foot duties across busy waste-related sites.

Qualifications

• Assisting members of the public and keeping areas tidy.
• Some heavy lifting involved and standing for long periods.
• Experience in waste industry preferred but not essential.
• Ability to stay calm in difficult situations with good interpersonal skills.
• General good health, able to work on foot for lengthy periods.
• Qualified to minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Assist members of the public and keep sites tidy.
• Stand for long periods and perform heavy lifting as needed.
• Maintain safety and calm demeanor on potentially challenging sites.

Job description

Site operatives required to cover - Chigwell, Brentwood, Waltham Abbey Chelmsford and surrounding areas.

Flexible hours from 32 to 48 per week, depending on requirements to cover holiday and sickness.

Sites open Monday to Sunday so must be prepared to work at weekend. Enhanced hourly rate for bank holidays.

* Hours: 08:45-17:15 (8 hours)

Shifts: 4 to 6 days per week

Must be able to drive with own transport to work on various sites.
