Job summary

Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking site operatives to cover Clacton, Colchester and surrounding areas. Flexible hours from 32 to 48 per week, with weekend work required across sites that are open Monday to Sunday.

Applicants should be able to lift, stand for long periods and wear steel toe-capped boots. GCSE English and Maths at minimum. Possible temp to perm placements.

Qualifications

• Assisting members of the public and keeping areas tidy.
• Some heavy lifting involved and standing for long periods of time.
• Experience in waste industry preferred but not essential.
• Ability to stay calm in difficult situations with good interpersonal skills.
• General good health, able to work on foot for lengthy periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the public and maintain tidy work areas.
• Perform heavy lifting as required and stand for extended periods.
• Work across sites in Clacton, Colchester and surrounding areas.
• Wear steel toe-capped boots and comply with site safety rules.
• Flexible hours and weekend availability as sites are open Mon-Sun.

Flexible hours from 32 to 48 per week, depending on requirements to cover holiday and sickness.

Sites open Monday to Sunday so must be prepared to work at weekend. Enhanced hourly rate for bank holidays.

* Hours:

08:45-17:15 (8 hours)

Shifts

4 to 6 days per week

Must be able to drive with own transport to work on various sites.
