Job summary

Bromford is recruiting an experienced Kitchen and Bathroom Fitter to join our field-based maintenance team. You will carry out planned installations and repairs in customers' homes, delivering high-quality workmanship with pride and safety in mind.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and a Full UK Driving Licence, with a focus on excellent customer service and first-time fixes wherever possible. DBS check will be arranged by Bromford.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is required.
  • Experience across kitchens and bathrooms is essential.
  • Ability to carry out multi-trade tasks (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling).

Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of planned maintenance and improvement works in customers’ homes.
  • Complete multi-trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, flooring, decorating and repairs.
  • Deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently with first-time fixes where possible.
  • Provide a professional, customer-focused service and keep customers informed throughout works.
  • Use materials and tools responsibly and maintain equipment.

As part of our team, you’ll carry out high-quality kitchen and bathroom installations within customers’ homes, helping us maintain and improve the properties our customers rely on every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Carrying out a range of planned maintenance and improvement works in customers’ homes.
  • Completing multi-trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, flooring, decorating, and general repairs.
  • Delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible.
  • Providing a professional, customer-focused service and keeping customers informed throughout works.
  • Using materials, tools, and equipment responsibly and maintaining them in good condition.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to achieve team and service targets.
  • Identifying and reporting any safeguarding or property concerns where appropriate.
  • Expertise in fitting kitchens and bathrooms, with skills in carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting, and laying sheet vinyl flooring
  • Experience repairing floorboards, boxing in pipes, completing 1st and 2nd fix pipe work, fitting new showers, skimming walls and ceilings, and painting surfaces to a high standard
  • A professional who takes pride in their work and ensures all tasks are completed promptly and to high standards
  • Relevant technical qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or relevant industry experience in plumbing, carpentry, roofing, or wet trades
Additional requirements
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check (arranged by Bromford)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Original copies of qualifications will be required
