Job summary

Bromford Housing Group is seeking an experienced Kitchen and Bathroom Fitter to install and maintain kitchens and bathrooms in customers' homes, supporting vital housing services across the South West, Central and East of England.

You will operate with a company van and tools, carry out multi-trade tasks, and aim for high-quality workmanship with first-time fixes while delivering a reliable, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing, carpentry, roofing or wet trades.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant trade qualifications and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned kitchen and bathroom installations in customers’ homes.
• Complete multi-trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, flooring and decorating.
• Deliver high-quality work safely and, where possible, first-time fixes.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service and keep customers informed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and use materials responsibly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to meet targets.
• Identify safeguarding or property concerns where appropriate.
• Fit kitchens and bathrooms with relevant skills (carpentry, plumbing, tiling, flooring).

As part of our team, you’ll carry out high-quality kitchen and bathroom installations within customers’ homes, helping us maintain and improve the properties our customers rely on every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carrying out a range of planned maintenance and improvement works in customers’ homes.
• Completing multi-trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, flooring, decorating, and general repairs.
• Delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Providing a professional, customer-focused service and keeping customers informed throughout works.
• Using materials, tools, and equipment responsibly and maintaining them in good condition.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to achieve team and service targets.
• Identifying and reporting any safeguarding or property concerns where appropriate.
• Expertise in fitting kitchens and bathrooms, with skills in carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting, and laying sheet vinyl flooring
• Experience repairing floorboards, boxing in pipes, completing 1st and 2nd fix pipe work, fitting new showers, skimming walls and ceilings, and painting surfaces to a high standard
• A professional who takes pride in their work and ensures all tasks are completed promptly and to high standards
• Relevant technical qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or relevant industry experience in plumbing, carpentry, roofing, or wet trades

Additional requirements

• A Full UK Driving Licence
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check (arranged by Bromford)
• Right to work in the UK
• Original copies of qualifications will be required
