Job summary

St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School, Blyth is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join its team on a fixed-term contract. The role involves supporting planning, preparation and delivery of lessons, both for whole classes and individuals, and preparing resources to enhance learning activities.

You will work closely with teachers to support learning and provide pastoral support, contributing to an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
  • A relevant qualification.
  • Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff.
  • Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students.

St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School, Blyth is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic practitioner to join our team as a Teaching Assistant on an initial fixed-term contract. This role involves supporting the development of pupils and contributing to high-quality educational provision for learners. Job overview

You will be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally.You will contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met. The opportunity is open to work within either Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Support Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.

Job requirements

Hours are 31.5 hours / week term time plus 5 days.

Support Assistant Level 3 – Grade BB04 - 31.5 hrs per week - Term time only plus 5 daysTerm time only plus 5 days. £26,403 per annum pro rata (actual £22,671) to £27,254 per annum pro rata (actual £23,402).
