Job summary

St Wilfrid’s C.E. Primary School in Manchester is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support class activities and provide 1:1 assistance. The role involves working closely with teaching staff across a range of curriculum tasks and supporting pupils with additional needs.

The post is temporary until August 2027, with a possibility of permanency for the right candidate. Interviews are scheduled for the week starting 12 October 2026. Salary ranges £26,106–£26,847 per annum.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to undertake class based activities and 1:1 support.

You will be working closely with teaching staff to support key worker groups of children over a range of curriculum activities. Experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable as this role will involve an element of 1:1 support.

Although this position is currently temporary until August 2027, there is the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
