Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Weighbridge Operator to join a waste management and recycling business in Blantyre. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week across 3 days, with a rate of £13.74 per hour, paid weekly.

The successful candidate will operate the weighbridge, manage related administration, and provide daily handovers on compliance and operations while maintaining a tidy site and assisting customer queries.

Our client requires a professional and organised individual to operate the site weighbridge and manage related administration, in a part-time role offering 20 hours per week over 3 days.

As a Weighbridge Operator, your duties will include:

• Directing traffic on and off site and operating the weighbridge accurately
• Recording vehicle weights and waste types, completing documentation and collecting driver signatures
• Maintaining the weighbridge area and office in a clean, tidy and hazard-free condition
• Providing daily handovers on compliance and operational matters
• Supporting general administration, customer service and telephone enquiries

To be considered as a Weighbridge Operator, you will need:

• Previous weighbridge or waste management experience is advantageous but not essential
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure on your own initiative
• A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise and see tasks through
