Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership in Bexleyheath. You will service and maintain vehicles and have the opportunity to become an MOT Tester.

The role offers ongoing manufacturer training, career progression and the possibility to undertake MOT Tester training for the right candidate. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am–5:30pm, with alternate Saturdays 8:00am–1:00pm, and a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Confident with basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Experience with tyres, timing belts and air conditioning servicing is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete general repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Carry out tyre replacements, timing belt replacements and air conditioning re-gas work.
• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work where required.
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
