Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in Maidstone. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, hold a current MOT Tester Licence, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.

The role offers £35,000+ basic, with a bonus and OTE up to £60,000, 44.5 hours per week, including 1 in 3 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Current MOT Tester Licence required.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs accurately.
• Inspect components for wear, damage and replacement requirements.
• Carry out MOT testing in line with current standards.
• Work closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Control to maintain workflow.
• Meet workshop efficiency targets without compromising quality.
• Support other Technicians and contribute to a productive workshop environment.

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent - essential
• Current MOT Tester Licence - essential
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician or Mechanic
• Strong servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repair experience
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards
• Strong attention to detail and good teamwork skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
