Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester for a busy dealership workshop in Maidstone. The role involves servicing, diagnostics and MOT testing to manufacturer standards, with a 44.5-hour week and Saturdays on a 1-in-3 rotation.

Candidates should hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a current MOT Tester Licence, a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK. OTE £60,000 and a £2,500 welcome bonus are on offer.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent essential.
• Current MOT Tester Licence essential.
• Previous experience as Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester.
• Strong servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repair experience.
• Right to work in the UK and Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs.
• Inspect components for wear and replacement needs.
• Carry out MOT testing in line with current standards.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and Workshop Control to maintain workflow.
• Meet workshop efficiency targets without compromising quality.
• Support other Technicians and contribute to a productive workshop.

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy dealership workshop in Maidstone. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, hold a current MOT Tester Licence, have strong workshop experience, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.

Location: Maidstone

Salary: £35,000+ basic depending on experience + bonus, OTE: £60,000, uncapped

Welcome Bonus: £2,500 for eligible Level 3 qualified Technicians

Hours: 44.5 hours per week, including 1 in 3 Saturdays
