Responsibilities

• Receive, check and unpack deliveries against purchase orders.
• Inspect goods for quantity, quality and damage; report discrepancies.
• Organise stock and label/locate items in warehouse.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for internal departments and dispatch to customers.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
• Record and report stock discrepancies and damaged goods.
• Assist with stock counts and general inventory control.
• Arrange collection and delivery of goods when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow health and safety procedures.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Part‑Time Stores Person to join our busy team based in Sherborne St John, Basingstoke.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of our stores and warehouse operations, including receiving and checking deliveries, maintaining accurate stock records, preparing orders and keeping the storage areas organised, clean and safe.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and is able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check and unpack incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
• Inspect goods for quantity, quality and any visible damage, reporting discrepancies as required.
• Organise stock and maintain warehouse and storage areas so that items are clearly labelled and easy to locate.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods accurately for internal departments and customer dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
• Record and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods and other relevant issues.
• Assist with stock counts and general inventory control.
• Arrange and assist with the collection and delivery of goods where required.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Follow company procedures and applicable health and safety requirements.
• Undertake other reasonable stores and warehouse duties as required.
