Job summary

Ideal candidates have experience in Goods In, Dispatch, Picking, Kitting or packing, with hands-on materials handling in a manufacturing setting, preferably electronics. The role offers structured hours and a supportive team.

• Experience with stock, part numbers and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming goods
• Pick and prepare kits and materials for production
• Pack finished products ready for dispatch
• Prepare and process outgoing deliveries
• Check quantities, part numbers and documentation
• Book goods in and maintain accurate stock records
• Organise and move stock around the Stores area
• Support production by providing the correct materials when required
• Assist across Goods In, Dispatch and general Stores duties
• Ensure stock and materials are handled accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised Stores area

Stores Person

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:45pm

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum

We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores Person to join the team at a manufacturing business based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience across a general Stores function who is looking for a varied role within a manufacturing environment.

We're open to candidates who have experience in Goods In, Dispatch, Picking, Kitting, Packing, Materials or general Stores, as long as you have previous manufacturing experience, ideally within electronics.

Key Responsibilities as a Stores Person:

• Receive and check incoming goods
• Pick and prepare kits and materials for production
• Pack finished products ready for dispatch
• Prepare and process outgoing deliveries
• Check quantities, part numbers and documentation
• Book goods in and maintain accurate stock records
• Organise and move stock around the Stores area
• Support production by providing the correct materials when required

Skills & Experience as a Stores Person

• Previous experience in Stores, Warehouse, Goods In, Dispatch, Picking, Kitting, Packing or Materials
• MUST have experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally electronics
• Experience working with stock, components or materials
• Comfortable checking quantities, part numbers and documentation
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with POs, delivery notes and/or stock systems would be beneficial
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Reliable and willing to support across different areas of the Stores function
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
