Job summary

Pertemps Crawley is seeking a reliable Stores Person in Crawley for a full-time, Monday-Friday role. You will receive goods, maintain stock records, and ensure timely delivery of parts to teams and customers.

Key duties include stock checks, picking and packing, and maintaining clean, safe stores with accurate inventory. The role requires good IT skills and the ability to lift up to 20–30 kg; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a stores/warehouse role in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and stock-record accuracy.
• Good basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory software).
• Ability to lift 20–30 kg safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and book in supplier deliveries and internal returns.
• Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch parts/materials to teams or customers.
• Put away stock in the correct locations and maintain clear bin labels/locations.
• Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts, and help with full stocktakes.
• Update stock records on our inventory system and report discrepancies or low stock.
• Keep the stores/warehouse clean, safe, and well-organised at all times.
• Liaise with purchasing, operations, and site teams to resolve stock queries quickly.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, including safe manual handling and PPE use.

Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
Start: Immediate

We're looking for a reliable, organised Stores Person to join our busy team in Crawley. You'll be the backbone of our warehouse/stores operation, receiving goods, keeping stock accurate, and making sure the right parts and materials get to the right people on time.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check, and book in supplier deliveries and internal returns
• Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch parts/materials to teams or customers
• Put away stock in the correct locations and maintain clear bin labels/locations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory role (ideally in a fast-paced environment)
• Good attention to detail and comfortable working with stock records/systems
• Confident with basic IT (email, spreadsheets, inventory software)
• Able to lift and move items safely (up to ~20-30kg at times)
• Strong communicator, team player, and happy to pitch in wherever needed
• Forklift/PPT licence is a plus but not essential (training can be provided).
