Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting an MOT Tester for a reputable automotive repair business with multiple sites in Barry, Wales. The role focuses on conducting MOT tests, diagnostics, and excellent customer communication to ensure safety and satisfaction.

The position offers a salary up to £40,000 dependent on experience, with overtime paid at an enhanced rate, 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, and access to LKQ and IMI training as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 4, 5, and 7 MOT testing licences.
• A valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred.
• Proven vehicle mechanic experience and MOT licences will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all MOT tests in accordance with government standards, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Support the workshop team with diagnostics, servicing and repairs as needed.
• Communicate with customers regarding vehicle condition, work required and MOT outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of testing and repair activities.
• Liaise with team members to guarantee smooth workshop workflow and support the Workshop Manager.

The successful individual will play a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and customer satisfaction. • Up to £38,000-£40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
