Key requirements:
Familiar with a hybrid Microsoft environment, including Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint
High level of understanding around Cyber Security and support implementation and maintenance of IT policies and procedures to achieve and maintain compliance.
Advanced knowledge of Windows, Active directory and the Councils Microsoft Tenancy including management of groups permissions and security
Previous experience of working on a Service or an IT Support environment, preferably with the Local Government
Key responsibilities:
Have an understanding of all Council systems aiding in the diagnosis of any issues and carry out administrator functions for Exchange, Backup and most Council systems.
To assist the Technical Support Manager in managing the councils IT infrastructure including the systems, network, servers, external connectivity, including PSN. This will include working with consultants and external technical auditors.
To provide resources to ensure that the BACS transmissions are processed and approved (for Corporate Services as a backup to other depts).
Supervision of a small team including staff appraisals, reviews and development and training.
Support and police staff in the use of data ensuring GDPR principles are adhered to. If a non-compliance or breach takes place, they would be expected to take the necessary action to limit any breach and to report it.
