Job summary

Triumph Consultants Ltd. are seeking a Senior IT Service Desk Support Officer to provide 1st/2nd line support for all Council IT systems and to supervise the Service Desk function.

The contract runs for 19 months in North Warwickshire with hybrid working and a pay rate of £19.47 per hour PAYE. The role requires strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (AD, Entra ID, M365, Teams, SharePoint), cybersecurity focus, and experience across Windows and AD tenancy management.

Qualifications

• Familiar with a hybrid Microsoft environment (AD, Entra ID, M365, Teams, SharePoint).
• High level of understanding around Cyber Security and IT policy compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows and Active Directory; management of the Council tenancy including groups, permissions and security.
• Previous IT support experience, preferably in Local Government.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues across Council systems and perform administrator functions for Exchange/Backup/other systems.
• Assist IT Infrastructure Manager in managing networks, servers, and external connectivity including PSN.
• Provide resources to process and approve BACS transmissions as backup to other departments.
• Supervise a small team including appraisals, reviews and staff development.
• Support and enforce GDPR across data handling and breach response.
