Job summary

Metro Rod Bedford, Luton & Watford is seeking a Reactive Drainage Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The role covers emergency drainage services, customer-facing work, and on-call duties across the LU, AL, MK postcode areas.

You will carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance, with a focus on safety procedures, recording work details, and delivering high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential.
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining.
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS.
• Have experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining an advantage.
• Will have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours.
• Hold a full UK driving licence – must be over 21 for insurance purposes.
• Must live in the postcode areas noted above.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of our customer’s assets new and old.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
• Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment.
• Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems.
• Communicate effectively to ensure an excellent service is provided at all times.
• Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude.
• Cover normal working hours and "on call" out-of-hours on a rota basis and have a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon outside of the these periods.
