Job summary

Metro Rod Bedford, Luton & Watford is seeking a Reactive Drainage Engineer to join our fast-growing team. You will carry out emergency services, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of customer assets across commercial and domestic sites.

The role requires drainage experience, CCTV surveys, and tickets such as HPWJ/CSCS; you’ll work on-call on a rota, cover unsociable hours, and hold a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial & domestic drainage is essential.
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining.
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS.
• Experience with CCTV surveys and lining is an advantage.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Willing to work occasional / unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence – over 21 for insurance purposes.
• Must live in the postcode areas noted above.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of our customer’s assets new and old.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
• Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment.
• Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems.
• Communicate effectively to ensure an excellent service is provided at all times.
• Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude.
• Cover normal working hours and on-call out-of-hours on a rota basis and have a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon outside of these periods.
