Job summary

Metro Rod Bedford, Luton & Watford is seeking a Reactive Drainage Engineer to join our growing team. The role covers emergency drainage services, cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance across a range of assets with a focus on customer service and technical excellence.

You will work within a fast‑growing national group, supporting blue‑chip clients in FM, social housing, retail and more; a driving licence and willingness to cover on-call duties are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and domestic drainage is essential.
• Experience in drain cleaning, repairs and patch lining.
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ and Confined spaces or CSCS.
• Experience with CCTV surveys is an advantage.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Willing to work occasional unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence; must be over 21 for insurance.
• Must live in the LU, AL, MK postcode areas.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of emergency services, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of customer assets.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
• Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment.
• Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems.
• Communicate effectively to ensure excellent service at all times.
• Cover normal hours and on-call out-of-hours on a rota basis; be flexible for emergencies.
