Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Crewe is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Driver for permanent night shifts 6pm to 6am, 4 on 4 off. You will operate reach trucks, pick and pack orders, and ensure accurate stock location and dispatch.

We offer weekly pay (£16.38/h), enhanced overtime, training opportunities, pension, life assurance, and employee benefits across the Boughey group. The role suits proactive team players with strong safety awareness and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Previous reach truck experience; refresher courses available.
• Comfortable on your feet; lifting and carrying required.
• Team player with a positive attitude toward work.
• Strong communication skills and reliable in a busy environment.
• Computer literacy and ability to handle paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Trucks safely and efficiently.
• Pick orders from pick lists and locate stock.
• Pack orders for dispatch and dispatch goods.
• Complete paperwork and documents as required.
• Receive, check and store products securely.
• Report shortages and damages to the Team Leader.

Due to continued growth, we are growing our team in Crewe! We are looking to appoint experienced Reach Truck Drivers on a permanent contract working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, night shifts, 6pm to 6am! Our Reach Truck Operatives work across a range of duties including but not limited to checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing.

Day to Day

• Operate Reach Trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all health and safety protocols
• Picking orders from pick lists and locate stock as and when required
• Packing orders ready for dispatch
• Dispatching goods to our customers
• Completing all paperwork and documents as required
• Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers in a safe and secure manner
• Report all shortages and damages found to the Team Leader immediately

What will you bring?

• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck: refresher courses can be provided for expired licenses
• Comfortable on your feet; this is a hands-on role that involves lifting and carrying
• A team player with a positive attitude towards work
• Strong communication skills
• Computer literate
• Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware
